Song to Nature was written in the ’70s by L. Allan Gunter, originally recorded live on Jim Graziano’s 2-track recorder, in his living room, with Rick Galarneu. Just two guitars and 2 voices. Allan and I were working on The Rock and Roll Wedding project, and we wrote it into the story line which included Mother Nature. I wrote About Life in ’82 as a medley companion, and, by no coincidence, it has a guitar line that’s similar to that of Song to Nature.

Lyrics:
Song to Nature (Allen Gunter)
You are the morning sunrise, streaking across the sky.
You are the land awakening, opening my eye.
You are the sundown bringer, start of the evening sigh.
You are the rise of Mr. Moon. Sing me a lullaby.
Softly, sing your timeless song, and I will listen all life long.
Gently, hold me to your breast, and I will live forever blessed.
You are the life I’m living. You’ll be here when I die.
Still you’re the land awakening, opening my eye.
About Life (Seymour Lovejoy)
I’m sending a message to you. I wonder if it’s getting through.
Will you be nice to all of life? I’m sending a message to you.
I’m singing a song about life. I’m singing a song about love.
The Movie is life and life is love. I’m singing a song about love.
About life. About Love. About Life. About Love.
There’s a way to put love into your life.
Take your key, unlock your door.
And let in a little light, let in a little light. Let in a lot of light.
I’m singing a song about life. I’m singing a song about love.
The Movie is life and life is love. I’m singing a song about love.
About life. About Love. About Life. About Love.
About life. Message to you. About love. Message to you.
