Miracle

Miracle was written in the early ’80s as part of The Rock and Roll Wedding project. It’s was written for my fiancee not long after we were miraculously “brought together” and is a declaration of my love for her, and an expression of my joy. This song and my “Miracle” were the inspiration for the Rock and Roll Wedding Project.

In about 2015, John Dalrymple used the 1983 tracks, did a little sweetening and remixed it. That version is available below.

I plan to do a more-acoustic version down the road.

Lyrics:

Oh, Miracle, mirror of my soul,
The moon is full and clouds go rushing by.
Our hearts are flaming fire
We’re drenched in light and all the world can see
Your beauty, the happiness in me.

Oh, Miracle, you and I are one.
We’re one in mind, one in love and joy.
And we see God together
We see love everywhere, how can it be?
Oh, Miracle, you’re a miracle to me.

Parallel lines on heaven street
Came to touch one day
It’s a miracle we’re so much the same,
It leads me now to say:

Oh, Miracle, we didn’t meet by chance.
I dreamed of you for many years.
The time was right and you appeared.
Amazing how it all falls into place!
How wonderful! In you God gives His grace.

Oh, Miracle, what more is there to say?
I share my love with you beyond all time.
And who can take the light from the sun,
The water from the sea, or you from me?
A Miracle! A Miracle!
Oh, Miracle, you’re such a miracle to me!
